Mr. Ray OFarrell is Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Development Officer of the Company. He will be responsible for orchestration across all of VMware RD Business Units and will lead VMware CTO team. OFarrell most recently served as GM, SoftwareDefined Data Center Division. OFarrell is a long time VMware veteran, having joined the company in 2003 to build out the storage technologies of VMware ESX . Over his tenure, he has led development teams across the entire VMware global RD footprint and product portfolio. OFarrell has more than 20 years of experience in software engineering and product delivery. Before joining VMware, OFarrell led product development teams at MicrotecMentorGraphics, Improv Systems, Industrial and Scientific Imaging and Ashling Microsystems. OFarrell holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science, both from the University of Limerick in Ireland. since 2016.
