Stephans is an Independent Director of Carpenter Technology Corporationration Mr. Stephans was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trigon Holding, Inc., parent company for its subsidiary that manufactures forged and machined components for aerospace and medical applications, and its subsidiary that designs, develops and markets orthopedic implants since 1997. Prior to Trigon, Mr. Stephans served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Dynamet Incorporated, a privatelyheld titanium processor that Carpenter purchased in 1997. At Dynamet, he was appointed Vice President and Technical Director in October 1977 and continued to advance to the position of Executive Vice President in October 1982. He began his career at IBM Corporationrationration, ultimately serving as Manufacturing Manager for one of the companys divisions in New York since 2003.
