Choël is a director of our majorityowned subsidiary, Interparfums SA, a publicly held company, and Christian Dior and Guerlain, both privately held companies. He is also the manager of Université 82, a business consultant and advisor. For approximately 10 years, through March 2004, Mr. Choël was the President and CEO of two divisions of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A., first Parfums Christian Dior, a leading worldwide prestige beauty/fragrances business, and later, the LVMH Perfumes and Cosmetics Division, which included such wellknown brands as Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain, and Parfums Givenchy, among others. Prior to such time, for approximately 30 years, he held various executive positions at Unilever, including President and CEO of Elida Fabergé France and President and CEO of Chesebrough Pond’s USA. Because of this experience, especially in the prestige beauty business, we believe that Mr. Choël is qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.

Inter Parfums Management Efficiency

The company has return on total asset (ROA) of 0.1173 % which means that it generated a profit of $0.1173 on every $100 spent on assets. This is way below average. Similarly, it shows a return on stockholder's equity (ROE) of 0.2235 %, meaning that it created $0.2235 on every $100 dollars invested by stockholders. Inter Parfums' management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well Inter Parfums manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. As of 05/01/2024, Return On Tangible Assets is likely to drop to 0.11. In addition to that, Return On Capital Employed is likely to drop to 0.22. At this time, Inter Parfums' Asset Turnover is relatively stable compared to the past year.
The company currently holds 192.37 M in liabilities with Debt to Equity (D/E) ratio of 0.22, which may suggest the company is not taking enough advantage from borrowing. Inter Parfums has a current ratio of 2.83, suggesting that it is liquid enough and is able to pay its financial obligations when due. Debt can assist Inter Parfums until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Inter Parfums' shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Inter Parfums sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Inter to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Inter Parfums' use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
