Mr. Lawrence D. Bouts is an Independent Director of BJ Restaurants, Inc., since April 2004. Mr. Bouts was a member of our Board of Directors since April 2004. Mr. Bouts currently serves as an investor and advisor to several earlystage companies in various industry segments, including technology, energy and consumeroriented businesses. Previously, Mr. Bouts served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Six Flags Theme Parks while a private company. Prior to that, he led the launch of the Toys R Us international expansion throughout Canada, Australia, Europe, and Asia as President of the International Division, successfully developing a profitable multibillion dollar offshore retail brand in over 25 countries. Mr. Bouts spent 13 years at PepsiCo, Inc. where he held various planning and finance positions, including Chief Financial Officer of two of PepsiCos operating divisions. Mr. Bouts has extensive management and financial experience as a former senior executive of large consumerdiscretionary segment companies, including Six Flags Theme Parks and the International Division of Toys R Us. Mr. Bouts also has significant financial experience which qualifies him as an audit committee financial expert under applicable rules of the SEC. since 2004.
