Ms. Lea Anne S. Ottinger is an Independent Director of BJ Restaurants, Inc. She was a member of our Board of Directors since August 2010. In 1998, Ms. Ottinger founded LMR Advisors, where she serves as a strategic business consultant supporting growthoriented businesses primarily in the consumerretail sector. Building upon her career in private equity, her focus is on mergers acquisitions and monetization strategies that enhance business expansion and realization of stakeholder financial objectives. From 1990 to 1998, Ms. Ottinger was a franchise owner and operator of several of The Body ShopTM skin and hair care stores, and served as a national representative to the Franchisee Board. From 2000 to 2018, she served on the Board of Directors of Savers, Inc., the largest forprofit thrift store retailer in the world. From June 2004 until its acquisition in March 2010, she served on the Board of Directors of Bare Escentuals, Inc., one of the leading cosmetic companies in the United States. Ms. Ottinger has significant investment and financial expertise from her many years as a principal in private equity and as a strategic business advisor specializing in mergers and acquisitions, all of which has benefited the Board. She was involved in the acquisition, sale, advisory role, or operations of over 20 companies, with an emphasis on growthoriented businesses in the consumerretail sector. She also has prior experience as a public company director with experience in governance, Board oversight, strategic planning, and audit functions. since 2010.
